Homemade Apple Crisp
6 large apples, cored and sliced
1/2 cup orange juice
1 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cup flour
6 T. butter or margarine
Pour orange juice over apple slices and coat well. Arrange the coated apples in a lightly greased baking dish.
Combine 1/2 cup of sugar and the cinnamon, sprinkle this mixture over the apples.
Combine remaining sugar with flour and salt, and cut in butter until mixture becomes crumbly.
Spread crumb mixture over apples and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned.
Serve warm with a side of vanilla ice cream!
